Exhibits from Zoology Department Museum, Faculty of Biology and SoilTHE FACULTY OF BIOLOGY AND SOIL trains specialists in two fields - biology and agrochemistry. There are 7 departments within the faculty's structure; departments of Botany, Zoology, Human and Animal Physiology, Biochemistry and Microbiology, Ecology and Nature Control, Genetics, Soil and Agrochemistry with 19 Doctors of Science and 69 Candidates of Sciences being on the staff. Students are trained not only in the classroom but also in the Research Institutes of Biology, Neurocybernetics, and the Botanical Garden the latter comprising the Arboretum, the Conservatory, the Department of Floriculture, and the Fruit and Berries Department. Junior students have their practice in the Caucasus and Lower Don Region, and senior student travel about the whole country.

Chemistry of Solid, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry of Natural and High Molecular Compounds, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry, Chemical Resistance of Materials and Corrosion Protection, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry of Rare Elements, Catalysis and Technical Chemistry, and Electrochemistry, etc. Students are trained Jointly by the faculty's teaching staff and by researchers of the Research Institute of Physical and Organic Chemistry which gives the students a fair chance to use modern equipment and up-to-date technologies.
Three professions can be chosen by students in the FACULTY OF PHYSICS:
Physics (where graduates get qualification in Theoretical Physics, Computer Science, Physics of Crystal and Structural Analysis), Radiophysics and Electronics (where they become radiophysics engineers), and Physics and Technology of Materials and Electronic Components (where they acquire the profession of an engineer-physicist). School and university teachers are also trained at the faculty. There are 9 departments in the faculty: Physics of Crystals, Applied Electrodynamics and Computer Modelling, General Physics, Physics of Semiconductors, Theoretical and Computing Physics, Physics of Solids, Astrophysics, Radiophysics and Quantum Radiophysics. There are 18 Doctors of Science and more than 80 Candidates of Science on its staff.
